With a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith, you’ll be prepared for a career in a vast number of roles and industries. You’ll achieve a high level of core IT technical knowledge, plus have the opportunity to choose from three dynamic majors.

The technical component of the degree starts in first year and covers basic IT skills. You’ll gain an understanding of the fundamentals of computing technology, learn how to design and build websites, and develop skills in computer programming, data management, systems development and human-computer interaction. From second year onwards, you’ll develop more advanced IT skills in areas such as software technologies, information security and IT services management. Throughout the degree you will have opportunities to develop entrepreneurial thinking in Griffith’s business accelerator space, giving you the skills needed to create your own start-up.

Griffith offers a number of admission pathways to your preferred degree. If you don’t meet the minimum ATAR/selection rank for this degree, you will automatically be considered for a place in the Diploma of Information Technology/Bachelor of Information Technology. This means you may receive an offer into the Bachelor of Information Technology which is conditional on successful completion of the Diploma of Information Technology at Griffith University. Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Information Technology you will be transferred into the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology program.
