Information Technology (IT) delivers the skills needed to succeed in an interconnected society. IT is concerned with the application of technology to solve problems faced by business and wider society through developing, building and maintaining software systems. From delivering services and products, collecting and analysing information, to building healthy and connected societies through mobile and web applications, the Bachelor of IT is the language of the now and future!
You will study courses that develop your skills in programming, AI, cyber security, and cloud computing as well as completing one of our industry aligned majors; ICT Developer or ICT Professional.
Major as either an ICT Developer or ICT Professional. The program also includes courses in business analysis, computer-human interaction, databases, management, programming, systems analysis and design, web technologies.
Uniquely, our IT degree includes a specialisation pathway – pick four courses from education and become an ICT Trainer, or four courses from health to hone your ICT skills for e-health systems! From business to climate science, criminology to animation – take your IT skills in the direction you choose.
IT graduates work in a wide range of industries including cloud architecture, software, mobile and application development, health, education, business and climate science.
For those who complete our ICT developer major, you may work as a mobile app designer, software developer, games designer, or web developer.
For those who complete our ICT professional major, you may work as an IT analyst, IT project manager, ICT advisor, or infrastructure business analyst.
