Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology is a practical course that gives you the problem-solving skills you need to drive the ongoing revolution in the way we communicate, conduct business and experience the world.

This course will provide you with foundation skills and knowledge for your IT education and ensure a breadth of understanding of IT and its applications in organisations and society. You will choose from four majors (each requiring eight units of focused study), covering a range of IT areas. You will finish with a client-based industry project, or can apply for a half-year placement in the Industry Based Learning program.

Your eight free electives will enable you to explore your personal interests and broaden your knowledge, experience and enjoyment.  You might choose to select units from across the university or complete a major or minor from another faculty, perhaps a language, marketing or media, or you might choose to deepen your IT knowledge with our range of units.
