Overview

The global nature of information technology calls for people who have both a strong technical background and in-depth understanding of human society and the factors that shape it. In this double degree, you'll have the technical expertise to shape and manage current and emerging technologies together with the lifelong critical thinking, communication and leadership skills that are acquired through study in the Arts and humanities. 

Choose from over 30 areas of study for your Arts major and minor from the humanities, languages and social sciences and from four IT majors covering a range of areas.

The Bachelor of Arts offers four optional Professional futures domains: Global immersion, Intercultural expertise, Professional experience, and Innovation capability.

You will finish your IT degree with an industry or studio project, or can apply for a half-year placement in the Industry Based Learning program.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
