You can tailor a degree specifically to your interests in the world of journalism and media as you explore legal frameworks and develop advanced research and communication skills. Learn to effectively research and communicate stories as you analyse, appreciate, and understand the diversity of the global community.

How do you operate professionally in a changing media landscape? What are the legal implications of holding leaders to account?On completion of this double degree, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you enter a career spanning media law, intellectual property law, and ethics; and strong production skills in print, online and broadcast journalism.

You'll be immersed in practical, hands-on learning as part of the UOWTV Multimedia student newsroom, and produce coverage for its website, YouTube channel and social media platforms. You will have real deadlines and will engage with the community and industry as you explore and innovate within journalism’s changing environment, including podcasting, data journalism, and immersive video. You will also gain practical experience during a legal internship where you will gain highly valued industry experience.

Bachelor of Journalism: Print/television/radio/photo/online journalist, producer, researcher, communication specialist, editor, writer, copywriter, media adviser, careers in public relations and advertising.
