Overview

Students are prepared for practice as a solicitor or barrister in Queensland or for admission to the legal profession elsewhere in Australia. This degree also prepares students for careers in business, commerce and government. Students learn from lecturers with a wealth of experience in a diverse range of backgrounds, including criminal law, human rights, international and comparative law, family law, environmental law, property law and commercial law. Students apply their skills in UniSQ's Wonderley and Hall Moot Court and can continue the learning journey in work integrated learning courses. Potential Career Outcomes

Solicitor or barrister, government law officer, in-house legal counsel, legal studies teacher (with further study), corporate sector, federal or state government employee, community organisations, non-government agencies.
