Overview

This innovative double degree will put you on the cutting edge of the legal industry’s transformation towards automation and the legal information technology careers of the future. You will benefit from current, industry-relevant units as well as in-built practical experiences within the Bachelor of Laws and the option to complete an internship or capstone unit within the Bachelor of Information Technology.

During your legal studies you will learn about legal procedures and key legislation and develop skills necessary to identify, analyse and evaluate facts in relation to legal frameworks. The core areas of the law degree match those required for admission to the legal profession including statutory interpretation, criminal law and procedure, contracts, torts, constitutional law, equity, administrative law, property, company law, evidence, professional responsibility and civil procedure.

During your information technology studies you will learn the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the information technology industry. Designed with input from our industry partners, you will benefit from current industry relevant units as well as in-built practical experiences. You may choose to major in Application Development, Business Analysis or Cyber Security.
