Overview

Combine a foundation in business with a legal qualification. You'll learn the fundamentals of accounting, business, economics and finance, gaining the skills and knowledge to work in legal practice.

The business component of this degree offers a number of subjects including management, human resource management, international business, sport management and marketing.

Your law studies will focus on developing your skills in critical thinking, analysis, advocacy, mediation and negotiation.

You can undertake related elective law subjects such as International Arbitration Law.

Our unique industry Professors of Practice work within this course to improve course curriculum, student learning experience, and engagement with industry and business.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

Business, Economics, Law.

Potential Career Outcomes

You'll graduate with an understanding of how business and law intersect in areas such as income taxation law,  and banking and finance law.

You may choose to build a career in law or you may find employment opportunities in governance, public policy, corporate organisations or not-for-profit organisations.
