This double degree provides you with a broad, well-rounded legal education that inculcates an understanding of the role the law plays in our society and of how it can assist Australia as a trading nation.

You'll learn contemporary approaches to the analysis, design and implementation of large-scale systems, with a sound understanding of the traditional aspects of computer science such as hardware and operating systems.

All Swinburne degrees include a guaranteed Work Integrated Learning opportunity. In this degree, you’ll complete professional experience placements at organisations in Australia or overseas. You'll also apply your learning in six professionally focused, computer science industry-linked projects.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 1 to 4: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of any Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 or equivalent.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be equipped for careers in the legal sector, software industries or a combination of both. Employers may be law firms, barristers’ chambers, not-for-profits, government, small businesses and large multinational organisations. Roles may include solicitor, lawyer, legal adviser, software developer, games developer, cybersecurity consultant, data analyst, digital developer, IT consultant, network designer.
