Overview

The Monash law degree is designed to equip you with the legal knowledge and skills that are required for admission to legal practice; and an opportunity to develop specialised knowledge in a law area of your choice.

Aimed at ambitious high achievers, this double degree allows you to combine your legal training with a future-focussed degree studying at the creative intersection between three further disciplines: Politics and governance, Philosophy; and Economic analysis.

As you engage with researchers and industry leaders, you’ll apply abstract knowledge to pressing problems, graduating as an informed, independent thinker with a practical skill set.

With a range of international study options and the Monash Law Clinical Guarantee enabling you to gain practical experience, you’ll hone the industry relevant specialist skills needed to thrive in a world characterised by constant change.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 35 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 30 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or at least 25 in Maths: General Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
