Overview

This double degree comprises of the Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business. The highly flexible Bachelor of Business allows you to tailor your degree to your interests in various business disciplines and develop attributes which will open a range of career opportunities. On the completion of the Bachelor of Laws, you will possess a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the Australian legal framework and fundamental legal principles, an understanding of comparative & international legal systems, an understanding of the ethical framework in which the Australian legal system operates, and a fundamental knowledge of the extra-legal factors impinging upon the substantive law. On the completion of the Bachelor of Business, you will gain deep discipline knowledge constructed through majors and minors. During the double degree, career development learning is scaffolded across early, mid and late stages of the program.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Blockchain Enabled Business, Business and Technology, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Planning, Global Business, Innovation and Enterprise, Logistics and Supply Chain, Management and Change, Marketing, People and Organisation, Social Impact.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will have the foundational legal knowledge required for a career as a legal practitioner or legal/non-legal roles in a variety of law-related fields, including within the commercial legal sector, government sector/legal aid, community law/NGOs, in-house (with corporations, unions, etc), academia, the media, politics and business.
