You’ll learn about the Australian legal system, trademarks, patents, designs and copyright, competition law and more. Plus, extend yourself beyond our borders and delve into the law and legal systems of Australia’s major trading partners so you’re ready to launch an international business plan or career.

Pair your legal knowledge with the principles of business technology, analysis and analytics. Emerge charged up for a career in business analysis, business analytics, solution architecture, project management and more. And of course, when you have fulfilled all the requirements, you can also practise as a lawyer in the Victorian and Australian Federal legal systems as set by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 or equivalent.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be equipped for careers in the legal sector, business analytics and anaylsis organisations, or a combination of both. Employers may be law firms, barristers’ chambers, not-for-profits, government, small businesses and large multinational organisations roles could include lawyer, corporate counsellor, manager, compliance and regulation manager, project manager, business systems manager, policy researcher, commercial/business analyst and business consultant.
