Overview

The Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) program is designed to further cultivate mathematical and communication skills that students have developed throughout their undergraduate studies. The research project will ensure that students investigate one particular topic to a deep and thorough level of scholarship, with a requirement of producing written and oral outputs of the highest quality. The students will also broaden their mathematical skills by undertaking advanced coursework. This expectation that students devote themselves to a single, in-depth research project over the course of the year, while concurrently undertaking a broad range of advanced courses, will ensure that UQ produces outstanding graduates at the core of the next generation of mathematicians.
