Overview

Develop a thorough grounding in law and learn to analyse information and forecast results when you study mathematics and law at UOW. You will explore the theoretical and practical applications of mathematics and statistics, and  study how governments and businesses make important decisions using mathematical and statistical models as you develop essential practical legal skills and knowledge.

Double degrees broaden your knowledge, skills, and career opportunities by combining studies from distinct yet complimentary disciplines. Through this degree combination, you will enhance your ability to critically analyse, identify patterns and logic, and work within frameworks and systems.

You'll benefit by learning from recognised and passionate leaders in their fields. You will learn core fundamentals across practical and theoretical subjects in law in the first year of your degree before commencing a blend of law and mathematics subjects from your second year. You will also have the opportunity to select a major in Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics or Pure Mathematics.

Throughout this double degree, you will gain hands-on experience through a compulsory internship program, undertake an extensive integrated legal skills program, make meaningful professional connections, and be given the opportunity to pursue corporate scholarships, summer scholarships, and undergraduate research projects with academic staff.
