The Bachelor of Media and Communication aims to provide the knowledge and skills to be able to research, write, design and produce communication content for a range of media platforms with the ability to adapt written style for different audiences and purposes. This degree provides knowledge of media and communication workplaces and their contexts and the impact of globalisation on communication.
On completion of this degree students will be able to research, write, design and publish in different media and demonstrate knowledge of the business elements of communication and media practices. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of communication processes in organisations including knowledge of international and intercultural contexts within communication.
On completion of this degree there is an opportunity to apply for an addition one-year Honours with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) degree. For further information visit www.flinders.edu.au/honours.
This degree prepares graduates for employment in a wide range of careers in the arts and communications industries nationally and internationally. Potential occupations may include communications officer, social media specialist and public relations officer; potential employers may include news and entertainment corporations, publishers and advertising agencies.
