Combine your interests for a unique career that is connected to your talents and passions. In a double degree you focus on two areas of expertise to graduate with more knowledge, skills, and career options.

The UNSW Bachelor of Social Sciences will prepare you for a career with real impact. Not only will you develop the social research skills and knowledge to understand and analyse a range of political, social, environmental and economic challenges – you’ll learn how to influence  policy and bring about positive change, too.

Social scientists inform public debate and shape policy. Throughout your degree you’ll get plenty of practical experience through our real-world activities and projects, work experience and internships. We also offer overseas study options via our exchange programs and opportunities to join student organisations and volunteering groups.

The Bachelor of Media at UNSW unlocks the specialist expertise, knowledge, creative thinking and creative problem-solving skills to help you make an impact as a media professional, or simply set you up as a more aware professional to succeed in your second and third job, not just your first.

You’ll have the opportunity to tailor a degree to your specific interests by specialising in public relations and advertising, communications and journalism, screen production, cinema studies, or media studies. During this time, you’ll develop practical job skills as well as conceptual, strategic, creative and critical capabilities to help you make an impact in the exciting and fast-changing world of media.

ATAR Profile: Some UNSW offers were issued based on the UNSW Gateway Early Conditional Offer Scheme with a lower ATAR entry requirement. Refer to the Admissions Information for a complete ATAR profile by degree.
