Grow your knowledge of the scientific basis of human structure, function and health when you study medical and health sciences at UOW. You will examine the structure and function of the human body at all levels of organisation to support health professionals within the medical research and clinical health fields.
How does the human body function affect everyday life? How does the body organise itself at all levels? On completion of this degree, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you enter careers developing therapies, applying diagnostic methods and providing treatments associated with health and disease. You will learn core fundamentals across practical and theoretical subjects in the first year of your degree before deciding which minors and electives to focus on from the second year.
You will complete extensive professional experience throughout your degree, which allows you to learn by observation and apply your skills in the classroom.
