Overview

This highly competitive degree provides secondary school leavers with a two-year accelerated pathway to provisional entry to the Griffith Doctor of Medicine. To gain entry, you must successfully complete all requirements of the program, with a GPA of at least 5.0. As a student of this degree, you will develop knowledge and skills in medical and clinical sciences and their application to the practice of medicine, biomedical research and healthcare services. Courses include anatomy, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, metabolism, molecular genetic, epidemiology, immunology, infectious disease, pharmacology and interpersonal skills, as well as an opportunity to undertake a research project. In your first and second years, you’ll also learn to integrate and apply the knowledge learned in the first and second year in the course - Integrative Medical Sciences.
