Do you want to be a skilled and caring midwife with the expertise to support women and their families during pregnancy, birth and beyond?
This course offers theory and clinical practice experience that develops skills to provide woman-centred midwifery care. Midwifery care involves hands-on activities, which may include physical observation and touch. Prospective students should be aware that full disclosure of any issues of impairment or misconduct is a requirement when applying for midwifery registration.
Deferment for this course is not available.
Students who completed their high school education in a language other than English will be required to demonstrate IELTS proficiency of 7.0 in all bands prior to being made an offer. Students are advised to check the English language proficiency requirements on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website. The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has a register of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Midwifery for the duration of their study. WSU as the education provider will provide your details directly to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for registration.
