As one of the most trusted professions, nurses make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of the community and are essential within any healthcare system or facility. Nurses work in fast-paced environments, providing quality health care to individuals, families and communities and are highly employable across Australia and around the world. Whichever direction you choose for your career as a registered nurse, when you study a Bachelor of Nursing, you can be sure that you will be making an important and meaningful contribution to society.
Applicants who have a completed Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) within the last five years (from 2019 onwards), including a Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011), and hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse are welcome to apply for this accelerated program and gain admission to the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing. Applicants who meet these criteria are eligible for 80 units of credit (eight courses) and can successfully complete the degree in two calendar years.
Hospital-trained Enrolled Nurses are not eligible for admission to the accelerated program. Applicants with any other related qualification should apply for the standard Bachelor of Nursing and apply for credit approval.
Applicants should note that each campus location has a unique UAC code for where students will undertake their on-campus studies. Those wishing to undertake the degree need to include the UAC code on their UAC application that matches the location for where they wish to study.
