Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing has a well-balanced curriculum that develops anatomical knowledge and understanding of the principles of nursing as well as the legal and ethical framework of nursing practice. Students learn in state-of-the-art facilities with interactive models and simulation laboratories,developing critical thinking, leadership and clinical skills that may be applied in a wide range of clinical settings. Supervised clinical placements of approximately 840 hours provide students with nursing experience in a range of primary, secondary and tertiary facilities throughout Australia. These may include residential aged care facilities, GP practices, community settings, hospitals and private health organisations.Elective opportunities may include rural, remote, and international placements. Potential Career Outcomes

Registered nurse in surgical theatres, paediatrics, community health and education and primary care, practice nurse in GP clinics, mental health, aged care, Indigenous health.
