Overview

This dual degree provides students with a broad set of skills that encompass the disciplines of nursing and midwifery. Graduates are able to register as both a nurse and midwife. Midwives safely guide expectant mothers (and parents) through pregnancy, birth and the weeks that follow through effective midwifery practice. Nurses are able to work in a variety of areas, including acute care, aged care, mental health, Indigenous health, rural health, public health or community health.
