Promote public health through nutrition research, communication of nutrition information when you study nutrition at UOW. As a scientist of nutrition, you will learn how to attain, maintain and promote healthy lifestyles based on scientific evidence. You will learn to work with individuals and groups to help improve their health outcomes and quality of life using validated research.
On completion, you will be able to address the challenges of promoting public wellness and more as you enter a career in clinical dietetics, community and public health nutrition, food service systems management or research.
You'll benefit by learning from recognised and passionate leaders in their fields in this flexible yet rigorous program. You will learn core fundamentals across practical and theoretical subjects in the first year of your degree before focusing on more specific topics from the second year.
You will build your knowledge to meet the core fields of competency, including the key areas of professional practice, improving nutrition outcomes for individuals, groups and communities as you will gain hands-on experience and make meaningful professional connections.
