Build your foundation knowledge in nutrition science and the commercial forces that guide Australia's $130 billion food industry* with Deakin's Bachelor of Nutrition Science/Bachelor of Commerce. With around 1 in 4 Australians living in rural or regional areas, there is a growing demand for nutrition professionals to improve population health. Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Majors

Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human resource management, Management, Management information systems, Marketing, Nutrition fundamentals.

Potential Career Outcomes

With this combined degree, your scope and career opportunities are expanded and much more diverse than if you completed either single degree. You may go on to work in many areas requiring knowledge of nutrition, health or food paired with skills in business, economics or finance. Career areas could include, research and development, consumer research, marketing, management, sensory analysis, public health nutrition, research and many more.
