Overview

Pharmaceutical science is the science of developing new medicines. You will learn about the human body and the use of drugs to treat disease, and how new drugs are developed and brought to market.

You’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of pharmacology and toxicology, physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, and biostatistics, alongside industry focused topics such as drug development, clinical trials and drug regulations to prepare you for a career in the pharmaceutical industry. You can also specialise your degree by completing a minor in biotechnology or economics to broaden your understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

The degree provides a direct pathway for eligible students into our industry-based Honours year at RMIT, which provides extensive job ready career experience in the pharmaceutical and health-related industries.
