Overview

This degree will put you on the path to a career in the pharmacy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or nutraceutical industries. You’ll learn through hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities, including our immersive virtual learning environment, formulation, pharmacology and analytical laboratories, and during professional practice placements at a diverse range of practice settings. Our course structure enables you to learn while integrating the science of pharmacy with clinical practice, and our focus on interprofessional learning means that you’ll be well equipped to be part of the healthcare team after you graduate. By studying this degree, you will gain a strong grounding in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, providing the foundation for systems-based integrated pharmacotherapeutics and pharmacy practice courses. You will take specialist courses in areas such as pharmacy management, complementary and alternative medicine, and pharmacology. Small group teaching is a feature of the program. Potential Career Outcomes

You will be prepared for a career in community and hospital pharmacy, and medication management. You may also have the opportunity for careers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nutraceutical and related industries in areas including management, sales, marketing, business development, and local and national government agencies related to medicine use and regulation.
