The Bachelor of Philosophy program provides a rare opportunity to specialise in Philosophy through the completion of 16 courses of study in Philosophy (including the 3 core courses in Philosophy, Ethics and Theology) plus 8 electives. When combined with a Master of Teaching, the program provides an ideal qualification for those wishing to teach Philosophy in schools, as well as those wishing to proceed with postgraduate studies. The program offers courses in all areas of Philosophy, including: The History of Philosophy (4 courses), Metaphysics, Philosophy of the Human Person, Logic, Epistemology, Ethics, and Political Philosophy. It also includes a number of innovative and rarely offered courses.
The Bachelor of Theology is a three (3) year full-time (or equivalent part-time) degree program leading to a first professional qualification in theology. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive grounding in Biblical and Theological Studies and associated disciplines. It is intended for those who wish to pursue such studies for reasons of personal growth and especially for those who have specific vocational and ministerial goals, in particular, those who intend to apply for leadership roles within education, health, social services and the professions generally.
