Overview

This course equips students with the skills to practise as physiotherapists in a variety of settings, from hospitals and community facilities to private practice. Students undertake clinical placements throughout the program, starting in year one. Fourth-year students undertake four to six placements of five weeks duration, encompassing a range of clinical physiotherapy areas including musculoskeletal outpatients, neurology and cardiorespiratory plus a selection of specialised and/or elective areas.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: As for Year 12 or equivalent.
