Overview

In this course, students gain the skills needed to coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion in a degree that is relevant to all industries.

This course responds to the growing demand from industry for project management skills. It provides a strong academic base for the management of all types of projects, including both construction and non-construction projects.

The first year is common to the property and valuation, construction management and project management courses, enabling students to work collaboratively in activities and assessment around each of the discipline areas. From year three, students complete three research related subjects.

Students can choose to minor in Construction Innovation and Technology, Construction Cost and Contract Management, Managing Construction Business, Property Investment Studies, Property Technology and Management, Business for Project Managers, Sustainability and Environmental Science, or Creative Industries.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Potential Career Outcomes

This qualification can lead to careers including project manager, project scheduler, project administrator, contract administrator and project estimator.
