Overview

Learn to analyse data produced by satellite-borne and other types of atmospheric instruments when you study atmospheric science at UOW. With an increasing demand for tools and instruments to predict and monitor the environment in the field of climate science, you will learn a broad range of skills to contribute toward innovations in design and prototyping of instruments and the analysis and interpretation of data. You will develop a broad scientific basis of knowledge as well as experience in computing while building your aptitude in physics and mathematics.

The University of Wollongong collaborates widely with Australian and international atmospheric science communities including other universities, CSIRO, ANSTO, the Bureau of Meteorology, federal and state government departments and international networks. When you study at UOW you join a vibrant community made up of leading fundamental physics and medical radiation physics researchers and teachers.

You will learn from academics that are internationally recognised in many fields of physics research including medical radiation physics, solid state physics, photonics and education.
