Overview

This course is designed to prepare you for employment in the expanding area of occupational health and safety and it is accredited both nationally and internationally.

This course has a strong science base to assist in your development of required professional skills such as: critical thinking, information literacy and competency with technology. You also have the opportunity to interact and undertake simulated problem-solving exercises with students from other disciplines, such as health promotion and psychology. In the second and third years of study you will learn how to identify and manage risks and hazards, effectively participate in decision-making processes and improve safety and health to prevent injuries and illness in the workplace.
