Overview

The program is divided across a total of 24 units, typically completed within three years full time, or six years part time. This includes study of four core program units which focus on statistics, data, communicaton and work integrated learning. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science then chose majors depending on their area of interest. Majors typically involve the study of eight units focused on an area of chosen speciality. The program can also be studied with up to two eight unit majors of specialisation. Students completing their chosen major then choose remaining electve units of study from across the university. This allows students enrolled with the Bachelor of Science a high degree of flexibility, enabling graduates to choose career paths aligned according their interests. Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science typically continue into research careers focused on their own area of specialisation. Graduates often find employment as educators, including school teaching or teaching within the tertiary system. Other options include professional careers in science or laboratory work.
