Overview

Psychology and the social sciences provide powerful tools and methods for exploring human experience and behaviour. The combination of a social science degree with an APAC psychology specialisation is ideal for those interested in the interaction between individuals and the world around them.

This course is aimed at those who plan to work in areas that call for a grasp of the insights, traditions and practices of psychology and the social sciences. This includes human services organisations and community-based agencies who work with children, people with disabilities or in areas of mental health; human resource management; or educational settings. This course also incorporates an industry-based field placement offering hands-on, practical experience with a professional organisation.

The course forms the basis for further study if students want to pursue a career as a practising psychologist or use knowledge from this course in other careers.
