Overview

Build and secure the networks of the future when you study technology as UOW. You will build both software and hardware skills, while also working in multi-disciplinary teams providing integrated industry experience.

How will industries adapt to rapid technology changes? How can business remain globally competitive as we develop intelligent networking of machines and processes for the future? On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you become an innovator and problem-solver with the skills to work in the industries of the future.

You'll benefit by learning from recognised and passionate leaders in their fields in the multidisciplinary degree. You will learn core fundamental knowledge across practical and theoretical subjects in the first year of your degree, you will then move on to specialise in either Industry 4.0 or Cyber Network Security from your second year. You will study autonomous systems, ethical hacking, communication systems, engineering design, electronics, digital hardware, web technology, signals and systems and more.

Throughout this degree, you will gain hands-on experience and make meaningful professional connections across the broader field using our state-of-the-art technology-integrated learning methods. In your final year, you will build and develop your own product as part of an annual student team project, developing solutions to real-world problems provided by industry partners.
