This degree addresses a significant market demand for skills associated with the design of distributed computing environments and the networks that underpin them.
It encompasses digital technology, in terms of both hardware and software, as well as computer communications and networking incorporating Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Sensor Networks, together with network management.
This degree produces well-rounded graduates in the Computing and Communications fields of Information Technology. With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), demand for qualified graduates in this area is extremely high and growing.
