This course will provide students with a liberal understanding of what it means to be an architect in a globalised and dynamic world. Contextually informed by its location in the designed capital city of Canberra, the architecture program focuses on architecture and the city; exploring the ways in which architecture studio, history and theory, technology and sustainability, and digital production and communication methods come together in the analysis and production of urban built form.
At the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) we design and offer courses to ensure that our graduates are employment ready and are able to reach the full potential of their career with professional knowledge and skills, critical and creative thinking, and excellent communication, collegiality and ethical practice.
Architectural communication, architectural design, architectural history and theory, architectural technology.
Architect (after the successful completion of Master of Architecture), architectural assistant, specialist architect (in areas such as heritage), building designer, urban designer, policymaker, architectural journalist, researcher or educator, BIM modeller, architectural renderer, project manager.
