Overview

This unique double degree will provide an education in law and theology informed by the values of the Christian tradition and oriented to the professional values and practice of law. This course has a focus on ethical behaviour, social justice and the common good to produce professionally skilled graduates prepared for legal practice with an appreciation of the law's interaction with theology. The degree aims to develop ethical and professionally skilled graduates with a breadth of knowledge in areas relevant to legal practice and an appreciation of the law's interaction with other disciplines as well as its international dimensions. The core content is built around themes of commercial legal practice, international and human rights law and ethical practice, with a commitment to social justice and engagement with the community through a pro bono legal placement program.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: As for Year 12 or equivalent.

Majors

Biblical Studies, Christian Thought, Law, Liberal Arts.
