There is a growing volume and value of data in business. As a result, there is a demand for workers skilled in analysing, transforming and extracting value from this data. If you have an interest in understanding the fundamentals of data analysis, the Diploma in Data Analytics is for you.
You will learn to manipulate and interpret data to inform key decision making, improve operational efficiency and assist stakeholder engagement across any industry. You can develop skills in coding, database management and business information systems that will allow you to step into any organisation with confidence.
You will receive embedded support from the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre, including access to a dedicated Student Liaison Officer, a quiet workspace for independent study and smaller class sizes in your foundational courses.
The Diploma also provides opportunities for women and other mature-age students working in businesses and industry to move into STEM based fields.
The Diploma in Data Analytics provides you with a level 5 diploma qualification and a degree pathway at the University of Newcastle. Upon completion of the Diploma in Data Analytics you’ll receive guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Data Science, Bachelor of Business Analytics or Bachelor of Information Technology.
