The Diploma in Language consists of 36 units and requires 3 years of part-time study only. The Diploma can be undertaken as a standalone course or concurrently with a Bachelor degree at the University. Students can be accommodated at either Beginners or Intermediate (equivalent to Year 12 SACE continuers level) levels of linguistic competence.
Graduates can proficiently communicate in the chosen language and gain broad language and cultural knowledge. Graduates have a critical understanding of the communities and key cultural aspects of contemporary societies and demonstrated knowledge and skills in cross-cultural communication.
