Overview

The Diploma in Music provides an opportunity for students who may not ordinarily gain entry into a bachelor degree, and provides an introduction to the expectations and requirements of a career as a professional musician. The diploma is designed both as an articulated pathway out of the CASM Foundation Year Program, and an entry pathway into the Bachelor of Music (primarily, the Popular Music and Sonic Arts specialisations). Three learning streams are available: Contemporary Music and Technology Studies; Ensemble Studies; Music and Media. Flexible learning options are also offered for those seeking qualifications in Ensemble Studies and Music and Media.
