Overview

La Trobe’s Diploma of Arts and Bachelor of Arts course package gives you a direct pathway to the Bachelor of Arts if you didn’t meet the entry requirements or would like additional support as you transition to university.

In the Diploma you’ll study in the same subjects and classes as Bachelor students while receiving additional support with enrolment, subject selection and university systems from a dedicated Senior Support Advisor. Find out about the support services available to you.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma you will move directly into the second year La Trobe's Bachelor of Arts, receiving advanced standing for the subjects you have already completed.

With La Trobe’s flexible Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a large range of majors and minors from humanities, social sciences, business, health and science.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
