La Trobe’s Diploma of Arts and Bachelor of Media and Communication course package gives you a direct pathway to the Bachelor of Media and Communication if you didn’t meet the entry requirements.

In the Diploma you’ll study in the same subjects and classes as Bachelor students while receiving additional support with enrolment, subject selection and university systems. Upon successful completion of the Diploma you will move directly into the second year La Trobe's Bachelor of Media and Communication receiving advanced standing for the subjects you have already completed.

With the Bachelor of Media and Communication you'll learn how to tell stories across any medium. With majors in journalism, sports media, media industries, creative and professional writing, or marketing - you can make your degree your own.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

Arts, Media and Communication.
