Overview

The Diploma of Engineering Technology will prepare you with the fundamental skills to appraise existing engineering problems and implement appropriate design strategies for an operational solution.

The subjects of this degree are designed to learn about creative engineering designs using essential hard and soft skills practised by engineers, including mathematical, physics, programming, teamwork and communication skills.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

This diploma can provide you with a pathway into a bachelor or associate degree in engineering. Its completed subjects accredit you for the first year subjects of the Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Degree in Engineering courses.

The Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor degrees can equip you to work across a range of engineering and technology organizations at various professional and engineering capability levels.
