Overview

If you have the drive and desire to study Education and are interested in an Education double degree or dual sector qualification to teach in primary and secondary schools, the Diploma of Higher Education (DoHE) can help you achieve your goals.

You begin studying towards your Monash Primary and Secondary Education degree from day one. You will be introduced to studies about learning and educational inquiry and build a foundation in the professional skills and knowledge required to practise as a teacher/educator in a range of education and school settings.

Upon successful completion of DoHE you can apply to enter into second year of Primary and Secondary Education (Honours), Primary and Secondary Inclusive Education (Honours) and a limited range of double degrees.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).

Majors

Education, Education studies, Inclusive education, Primary teaching, Secondary teaching.
