Overview

The Diploma of Legal Studies is designed for students planning a career where a knowledge of fundamental legal principles and legal skills will be of use, such as law, business administration, legal administration, or federal, state, or local government administration. The Diploma of Legal Studies teaches students core skills to enhance their career prospects, including familiarity with the Australian legal system, the principles of business law and contract law, contemporary legal and ethical issues in Australia, group communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, individual and group decision making, and an understanding of ethics, morals, and cultural beliefs. Successful completion of the Diploma of Legal Studies guarantees students a place in several undergraduate degrees at Bond University, including the Bachelor of Laws, with a possible 80 credit points credited towards their new program of study.
