Overview

The Diploma of Music allows students to focus on a broad range of music styles including western art music, jazz or contemporary music. This exciting course will expose students to a variety of learning experiences including performance tuition to develop their solo performance skills and academic study in the interpretation and understanding of music. This means that students will be supported throughout their study and undertake one-on-one instrumental tuition with highly qualified regional conservatorium staff through video tuition as an online student.

Students will learn foundational aspects of the language of music and gain practical music studies focusing on repertoire and technical work in their chosen instrument, voice or composition. Upon completion, students may choose to continue their study at the second year level in CQUni's Bachelor of Music degree. For more course information, visit Diploma of Music.
