Overview

Want to learn an Indigenous language distinct to northern Australia? This unique languages course introduces you to the sounds of the languages, the grammar and basic vocabulary of the Yolngu people in northern Australia.

You will develop your skills analysis and discussion of Yolngu narratives, both oral and written, in Yolngu languages as well as an understanding of the variety of ways in which ethical behaviour and protocols govern the interactions with people and how knowledge is used and shared.
