The Graduate Certificate in Optometry will extend your clinical skills and knowledge in a range of areas across optometry and vision science. You may choose from subjects covering ocular therapeutics, myopia management, public health and community eye care and advanced ocular disease. This Graduate Certificate has been designed to suit new and established practitioners who hold a degree in optometry. On completion, you will have the knowledge and skills to meet the growing demands of this area of healthcare.
The program provides a foundation for career progression in clinical practice and is a pathway into research opportunities. The degree doesn't provide clinical training for registration to practise as an optometrist in Australia.
