The Undergraduate Certificate in Data and Environmental Management will provide you with an understanding of data science, and how data can be used to inform decisions when managing environmental factors and issues.
This hands-on course is designed to develop your understanding of how patterns of landforms, soils, plants and animals form on the surface of the earth, and how cultures, societies and economies manage, and are affected by, ecosystem processes.
You will learn about the relationship between data, information and knowledge and be introduced to a number of different tools for managing, storing, securing, modelling, visualizing and analysing data for environmental management purposes.
Graduates with this certificate will have strong technical skills in collecting, storing, understanding, manipulating, analysing and visualising data from various sources and be able to apply these skills across a range of applications.
This course is useful for a wide variety of occupations and professions, as well as enhancing everyday existence.
Domestic students commencing the Undergraduate Certificate in 2023 may be eligible to receive a 100% HECS fee waiver. HECS fee waivers will be automatically applied on enrolment.
