Overview

An introduction to a career in promoting the health and wellbeing of people at individual, community and whole-of-population levels. The Undergraduate Certificate in Health Promotion Foundations provides a direct pathway to the Bachelor of Health Science with an extended major in Applied Health Promotion, other Health Science extended majors, as well as other undergraduate degrees. In this program you will develop your knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of health promotion. You'll design, implement and evaluate evidence-based health promotion strategies and begin to understand and address health inequities and inequalities. You will prepare to undertake community health and wellbeing assessments, and plan health promotion action.
